While the transition from Korea to Canada wasn’t exactly smooth sailing, Apollo High School helped me greatly in my adjustment. To be frank, I’ve moved high schools quite often, but Apollo High School was the one I’ve settled down for.

As an international student who recently came from Korea, the teaching methods and the teacher-student relationship was difficult to get used to in public schools. However, with comparatively less number of students per class at Apollo High School, I was able to build a much stronger bond with the teachers because they really showed that they care about their students. They helped me in deciding which university I applied to, and provided extracurricular classes to increase my chances of acceptance, such as IELTS and TOEFL lessons.

Without Apollo High School, I wouldn’t have gotten into the Computer Science program at Waterloo University, and I truly feel grateful for what they did for me.

I graduated from Apollo High School last year. I had such good memories with the teachers and friends I met at my school. Specifically, the teachers are very helpful. The way they teach is very different than any of my previous teachers.

I used to attend a public high school in North York, but I always had trouble following with the pace of the lessons. At Apollo High School, teachers spent time outside of class to make sure that I fully understood everything that was taught in class. They also taught me other learning strategies, which has been very helpful for me this past year as a first-year university student.

The teachers at Apollo High School not only care about the students’ school life and grades, but they also care about the students’ future. Apollo High School teachers never hesitate to listen to students’ concerns, and they offer advice and counsel when asked, which made me feel so comfortable during my time there. I still keep in touch with my teachers at Apollo High School, and visit the school when I can because they helped me to get to where I am today.

When I was attending a public high school until grade 11 in Toronto, I wasn’t able to achieve the grades that I thought I would, which made me worry about university applications and my future overall. But, a friend of mine introduced me to Apollo High School and I decided to transfer.

Since then, the teachers taught me the importance of universities for my career, and they gave me advice for anything I asked for, even if it wasn’t related to my studies. This really helped me trust my teachers, which was impossible to do in previous public school. I would be more than happy to recommend anyone looking for a high school, with teachers who really care about your future, to attend Apollo High School.

I attended Apollo High School for my last year of high school, and I felt very grateful to have been a part of the school community. The teachers were very reliable, and they helped me to fully understand the lectures. Also, they were always available to help me in the decision and the application process for my post-secondary education - and thanks to them, I was able to enter the program of my dreams! I loved my time at Apollo High School because I had so much support from my teachers!
